For the last few months I have been opening my bedroom window just a
crack, because Oscar has tended to scratch at the flywire. But on Monday
evening, I must have been so focussed on Princess who had just had
surgery that day, that I opened the window too far.

On Tuesday morning I see an Oscar sized hole in the flyscreen, with all
the edges bent towards the outside. I spent the morning (time off work)
dropping notices around the block, put food outside etc

At around 6.30pm, I took Clover on a harness outside of that window, with
a vague idea that perhaps she might follow Oscar's path. Who was there?
Oscar, less than three feet from the window he escaped from.

I don't think he had gone very far at all, because he has the smell of
the plants in the garden in his fur, and the scent is still on him this
morning. Lovely.

I had put food and water out near the window, so that may have assisted
in keeping him in the vicinity.

I'm going to increase the call training with Oscar, using whistle and
treats. The other two will come at the sound of my whistle.
