Condolences to those with lost, sick or dearly-departed fang-snouts.

Hi, Carrie!

Congratulations on your new ferret! I hope you will have many years of
joy, laughter, fun and love with your little bundle.

An idea for curbing your baby's food-digging enterprise...try using a
smaller dish. Make sure it is big enough for her to get her nose clear
to the bottom to get any food there (nose size, plus extra room for her
to open her mouth to get the food in). Also, don't put a large amount of
food in the dish. Check often and add more when needed. Also, wash the
dish on a regular basis.

If this doesn't help, then try the larger ferret-savvy shops to see if you
can get an "auto-feed" style of dish. This is one that hangs on the side
of the cage with a filler box at the top, then a small dish that the food
falls into as the ferret eats. This way, she always has food available,
but there won't be much there for her to dig at.

Todd and the (pass the shovel!) Fuzzbutt Rodeo Clowns!
