Since hearing part of Dr. Williams lecture on ADV at Ferrets 2000, our
shelter decided to test for ADV. We tested Princess, one of our long term
residents (she was one of our 1st rescues back in '96 and plays with just
about everyone) and we tested a newer arrival, Snowball.

The test took about a week to come back from the University of Guelph and
didn't cost a lot. We are negative for ADV and all of us breathed a sigh
of relief over it.

I think it would be a good idea if all shelters tested for it, just to be
on the safe side. If Dr.Williams is right (and he is rarely wrong) ECE
will be nothing compared to ADV once it hits.
