My Ferret

Is that the sunlight that I see there shining in your eyes?
The light you bring to my life isn't really a surprise
No other one can bring the joy that your love brings to me
No you're not just a pet, you are my precious family

You take from me the sadness and replace it with such hope
You come to me and help me out on days i cannot cope
No one yet has taught me more, to learn to grin and bear it
You're all the love God has to give because you are my ferret.
