In this version, there *is* one ferret in the top section of the coat.
Then again, it's a much larger venue, & they used a lot more ferrets,
for a bigger effect. In the original video, though, the ferrets are
only in the bottom section of the coat. It's also a different coat, if
you look at it closely. Same type of rigging, though. In talking to one
of my students, who's on B'way, she had a costume rigged like this for
"Evita", in the "Goodnight & Thank You" number, where she had like 4
costume "changes" in one song, most of the time only having something
like 8 measures to change. For the final change, she went behind a
door, they pulled the release to change the top part of the costume,
popped an overskirt on a wire around her waist, put a robe over her
shoulders, & put the platinum wig on her. It was really quick &
efficient.
