Also, the ozone many ionic air cleaners create is bad for the lungs.
That's what gives the thunder storm smell but as you know from pollution
reports: ozone is great and wonderful in the upper atmosphere but it is
not good to breathe.  Instead, look for a hepa filter air cleaner with a
secondary charcoal filter; notice how often the charcoal filter needs to
be replaced, though (hepa filters don't need to be be replaces as often
as the charcoal ones).
 
Lisa, have you thought of megaesophagus which causes regurgitation?
