I had so many flies up in my bedroom, that I finally had to put up a strip
of fly paper in hopes that I might be able to catch at least a few of the
10 billion or so coating my ceiling. I hung it completely "out of reach"
of my ferret. 3-4 feet away and about a foot above his cage. Of course he
somehow managed to jump from his cage, and get the tip of his tail caught
in it. He fell and the fly paper fell with him. I found him a second
later, thrashing around on the floor and somehow screaming with the paper
covering his nose and mouth. I managed to peel off the paper, along with a
lot of his hair, but nothing I do will get the paste that coats the paper
off of what's left of his fur. Does anyone know what I can do to get it
off? Is it poisonous? I hope not because not only did he injest some,
he managed to nick a small vein in my wrist, and cut me up VERY well. Of
course, my wrist was already coated with the stuff. Crazily, I'm more
worried about him than I am about me. Please answer me SOON! I can't get
ahold of my vet, who is the only vet within 100 miles who's ever seen a
ferret, until 10:00 tomorrow (or this) morning.
