Silly ferret antics follow ...
In the process of moving from apartment to apartment in Ann Arbor, Sloan
(heavy-breathing, potty-untrainable, and absolutely silly little weasel) and
I stayed for a week at my parents' house. Since it was a long drive from my
work in A^2, I'd often come home late to see my parents on the back porch
letting Sloan run around and bite their feet and so forth. One night, my
unobservant mother let Sloan play with a closed Ferretone bottle for too
long ... by the time she checked him next, he had punctured the bottom of
the bottle with his teeth and was guzzling Ferretone by the gallon.
Well, when I came home a little later, Sloan seemed a little dazed ... I
wasn't too worried because he passed all of the stuff real quickly - his
next stool came out just an hour later or so and resembled lumpy Cheez Whiz
(hope I didn't gross anybody out). But, he was back to normal by morning.
So a couple of days later, he's running around in my bedroom while I'm
downstairs eating breakfast, and he got himself in more trouble ... he
found his way into a backpack where I had stored a bunch of my things for
the move. When I came back upstairs, he was chewing on soap. Mmm, mmm,
good ... ??? Ivory, 99.9% pure soap. Has anyone else had a soap-eating
ferret? Yucky!
Well, at least his breath smelled decent for once ...
