Hi, Does anybody know of any ferret clubs in NJ? We just got Mimo the
ferret for X-mas and then last week we adopted Janey. Janey was a rescue
from one of the kids at the school I work for. I had brought Mimo in to
show the kids and one of them told me they had a foster ferret, Janey.
She said her older sister had brought the fuzzy home from a project at her
school where they all took home pets from a shelter that had closed down.
Their dad said that they had 1 week to find her a home or he was "turning
it loose in the wild". I don't think a domesticated ferret would make it
in the wild, so I took her home with me. They told me they handled her
with gloves because she bit, but I didn't have any problems with her at
all! I think they just didn't know how to handle her.

Mimo and her get along famously! they had their 1st bath together last
night in the tub and they were both swimming around and having a blast. I
then put them back in my son's room where they reside and went to check in
on them a few minutes later. Although they each have their own hammock,
Mimo was inside his (his is a littltle playhouse type) and Janey was
asleep on top of it. Ferret bunkbeds!

We live inbetween Trenton and Burlington, NJ. If there is a ferret club
or ferret lovers in this area, please e-mail me at [log in to unmask]

Thanks,
Shannon
