Muggsey, our approximately 18 month old silver female, isn't acting well.
We've only had her a month and she's our first ferret, so we didn't catch
whatever it is right away, or else it's been awful damned rapid.
 
She has lost weight, is listless, and isn't taking very good care of
herself, the hairball medication I smeared on her tummy 2 days ago is still
there.  She staggers when she walks and seems very weak.  HELP!
 
Our township sent around flyers that there had been some organism in the
water, so we're drinking juices and milk and so forth, Muggsey is now on
bottled water, but we just figured the potential water problem last night,
so I don't expect any immedaite improvement....
