I have a situation I would like some opinions on...

I have 10 month old ferret who is in need of surgery in about 4 months. It
is not a life threatening problem. No cancer of any sort, nothing like
that. It has a structural problem. The problem comes in when it comes to
the cost. When this first came up, it was no problem, I was scheduling the
surgery and everything. Since then something has come up in my life and I
no longer have the money to pay for the surgery. I love this ferret very
much, and would miss him terribly if I no longer had him, but I want to do
what is best for him. In your opinion, would you surrender him with the
exception that who ever got him made sure he got the surgery, or would you
keep him until you had the money for the proper treatment? Please let me
know how you feel about this without a lecture about having pets when you
don't have the money to care for them, because as I said, up until about 2
days ago, it was scheduled for April.....

Thanks
