I don't object to ferrets eating bugs per se, but one of my very first
ferrets swallowed a cricket whole.  It gave her a partial blockage that,
thankfully, a massive amount of hairball remedy took care of.  She pooped
the darn thing whole, minus one hind leg.
 
So just keep an eye on the output...lol.
