My husband was basically an anti-animal person.  Everytime I get a pet he
threatened to depart.  He has learned to love all of them and now can't imagine
life without them.  He was very ferret resistent even though I have owed and
loved rats.   He just adores the ferret we have and is very willing to get more.
I had the opportunity to babysit for a friend's ferret which helped soften my
husband up.   Even the most resistent person can't resist a ferret for long.
They are too amusing and loveable.  Keep trying to convince your wife.  She
doesn't know what she is missing.
