Hi Everyone,

I just got back from a Petco close to where I live and noticed an adult
ferret in a cage by himself. I asked a girl working there about him and
she said that someone had dropped him and a cagemate off because they
didn't want him anymore. I asked if I could take him out of the cage and
hold him. When I picked him up his body immediately tensed up. He
started to shake and he had both his front paws clasped together. I've
never seen a ferret so scared!

Anyways, his cagemate had been adopted and he was left alone by himself in
that cage near the front of the store. The girls working there seem to be
taking good care of him. His cage was clean. He is being treated for ear
mites right now. I'm hoping someone can help him out. He is probably
between 3-5 years old. They weren't sure. And he is a beautiful cinnamon
color. If nobody takes him then I am going to take him in for now until
a permanent home can be found. I would rather someone out there take him
so that he is not switched around anymore. He is just so traumatized.
This boy needs lots of love. I have three of my own right now that my
apartment complex doesn't know about. This is breaking my heart.
Otherwise I would consider keeping him myself. Here is the address and
phone number to the Petco:

Thanks,
Jennifer in Phoenix
