As most of you who see my address expect to see a raffle or some type
of fundraising event attached to it for you to help in raising the much
needed funds to keep shelters and the people doing the grunt work in
rescues and finding homes for the kids.  Belive me you will still get
to see these postings from me as I try to help in my way to help them.
 
Now its my soapbox time,it seems to me that after any major rescue that
takes place the people all try to rally to help in the ways that they
can by donations and the sending of the much needed supplys.
 
Then come the few with the questions of why didn't you do this or that.
 
Then next comes the rumor machine as to who did what with this or that.
 
Then next comes the posts to the FML and the different groups with every
one stating thier own agenda.
 
People the agenda here is the FERRETS and everyones love of them, what
needs to be changed are the laws and the way that the courts and the
animal control or whatever it may be called in the states that you live
in.  They need to stop slaping the hoarders on the wrists and get
convictions and medical help with jail terms not a small fine and
probation so they can do it again and again.  The laws governing this
differ so much from state to state and opinions are stated baised on what
may happen it the state you live in not in the state that it occured in.
 
The most well known hoarding cases are the Jen Morrision case in Utah,and
the Di Bachman case.  Both of these people are hoarders that have done it
more than once and may be doing it again right now because of the laws
that govern thier operation.
 
It is time to put you efforts behind the people that are trying to change
this and not to add to the hate and discontent that we are all seeing in
the posts on all of the lists.  If we all did this maby just maby we
could change the laws so that a stop can be put to this.  It is not only
happing in the ferret world its happining with all of the animals that we
love.
 
Lets get the laws and enforcement of them changed for the better!!!
 
Lets stop the bickering about who did what and why!!!
 
Lets stop the bickering period!!!
 
Just stop and think hug your furry kids and care for them to the best of
your ability,support your shelters and if close by help scoop the poop
and help them in any way that you can.
 
Stepping down off the soapbox and feeling a little better after speaking
my thoughts.
