It's been a busy week at the shelter with lots of good news and laughs!
 
Dharma & Duncan were adopted into a home last week.  They came to the
shelter from another shelter in Ontario.  Duncan was a very bad biter
and he went to camp Paige with his friend Dharma to be cured of his bad
habits.  Auntie Paige kissed him and cuddled him and fixed his bad habit
and now he's in a great home!
 
Blarney, the little (or should i say BIG) boy we took in last week is
doing great.  He was walking funny for a while and mommie was a bit
worried about him.  He walked almost "bow-legged".  mommie giggled to
herself when she realized that he was walking funny because his "package"
was sooooo big they almost dragged on the ground when he walked!  He was
neutered this week and even his vet made a comment on just how big his
"package" was lol!!!!!  He's walking a lot better now <grin>
 
Ken had surgery this week as well to fix his broken hip.  His hip was
broken years ago when his owner threw him and his sister Barbie off a
5 story balcony.  He never showed signs of injury until last year but
Barbie's neurological damage has always been present.  You can see Ken's

Many thanks to auntie Olympia who tirelessly drove Ken back and forth
to the University of Guelph many times to secure surgery for him.  He's
doing well at the shelter but is still in pain.  mommie is giving him
great drugs though and i'm watching over him to ensure fast recovery!
 
The shelter took in two real cuties this week.  Chubby & Logan are the
sweetest little trouble makers ever!  (Next to me of course lol).  They
are both almost a year old and their mommie had to give them up because
she was pregnant....nuff said.  The boys play really well with Blarney
and Avery.  Little Avery can't stand rough play and worries when big ol'
Blarney is too rough with the boys!
 
AND the BEST news EVER........once Ken is totally healed from his
surgery, he and Barbie have a new home to go to!!!!!  Their new home
has no other ferrets, no other animals and they will be SPOILED the way
mommie always dreamed they would!  mommie's little dolls have finally
found someone to love them forever and hold them and kiss them and make
them feel super special.  mommie and the other volunteers are sooooooo
happy it brings tears to their eyes.  i'm really happy too.  these kids
deserve the best and they are finally going to get it!!!
