I went to visit Helen Wojciechowski today at the hospital. She is
over her pneumonia but is still having trouble w/ the swelling and
thrush (sores in the mouth that make eating and drinking virtually
impossible).

Hello All,

Thanks Pat for you note that you posted for our shelter. I appreciate
it. Also thank you for my hats. I have been wearing the blue one a lot.
Since I can't afford a wig right now the hats are so wonderful. I feel
so weird without my hair.

I would like to correct a few things too that you mentioned Pat. We
only have 22 ferrets here and 9 of them are personals. Thirteen are
shelter kids aging from 6 and up with a couple of them only going on 2.
They came in this past December found in the woods so we took them in.
They are the youngest of our kids including ours.

Sad thing is we lost one of our dear personal babies while I was in the
hospital. My daughter didn't tell me until last Saturday because I was
so sick.

They came down to see me and when I asked about the ferrets they said
everyone was fine. Then I said how is Simon my baby and my daughter got
this funny look on her face. My grand daughter said didn't Mommy tell
you. I knew it wasn't good news the way she looked.

My daughter said Mom I am sorry I didn't tell you but you were so sick.
We lost Simon a couple of weeks ago. I had him to the vets around the
end of March before I came in the hospital and DR Wagner gave him a DES
Implant and said he will be fine. He was losing his hair on his tail
and had lost some weight but he seemed OK. He was still playing and he
loved his soup. He was putting weight back on and so I thought he would
be OK and was planing on taking him back to Wagner as soon as I got out
of the hospital.

Sad to say he was not fine and I feel so guilty that I wasn't here to
over see him. My heart is just broken.

One of my Chippies is gone to the Bridge and I will always miss him.
Simon would have been 5 years old on June 24th. I also have his brother
Theodore and two others that I had gotten from Chris, Alvin and
Snowflake.

Chris, I am sorry I couldn't reach you on the phone. I wanted to tell
you about him. Sue got his name wrong on the phone she thinks. She was
looking at Theodore when she left the message and she thinks she told
you it was Theodore but it wasn't. It was our dear Sweet Simon Paul.

Also the address Pat gave for our shelter was wrong. We had a 911
change our address is now.

I am also passing this on to other ferret Groups so I don't have to
write another letter. I am getting kind of tired and will probably get
off here soon. I just wanted to free up some space on my ferret name
so I can get mail since my mail box closed up on me.

I also want to thank all of you for the wonderful cards and phone calls
and visits. They meant a lot to me. You have no idea how many time I
read and re read them cards. Being in the hospital that long and can
only walk from one side of the bed to the other is very boring. Those
cards pulled me out of a lot of tough days.

I have gotten around 250 cards counting the ones I got at home. I got a
150 some at the hospital. They couldn't get over how many cards I had
and I just smiled and said from ferret family and other family. I am
going to put them all in scrap books to keep. It is really nice to
know people care thank you so much.

Pat and Jackie I can't thank you enough for my stuffed ferrets they
really put a smile on my face. The nurse and I named them. The one you
brought Pat his name is Westie for West Penn Hospital and Jackie the
one you gave me we named him Hoppy for hospital. They look so cute
right now they are sitting on my scanner looking at me. I just love
them. Thank you both so much... it was so thoughtful of you both.

To Bob Church,

Thank you for taking your time to write me such an inspiring letter and
for praying for me. It seems strange to me getting a letter from the
Great Bob Church. It feels like a little pee on like me receiving a
letter from the President Of the US don't know how else to put it the
way I want it to say :-) Thank You so much Bob it meant the world to
me. I will cherish it always. I also want you to know you are always in
my prayers. I had no idea you went through so much yourself. Praise God
You are now doing so good.

God Bless Each and Everyone Of You
Hugs Love and Prayers Always
Helen
