Hi everyone- Jerimiah here!

Yes, of course ! the beautiful marked ferret and jr. mascot at Ferret
Wise Shelter! Hey lots going on here at the shelter-- as folks start
getting ready for the big open house event! Of course when you read
this the 6 newest kids will be sleeping off their rabies vaccinations in
preparation for their hoped adoptions. And 2 little gals will be awaiting
sleeping off their spays and haircuts scheduled for tomorrow. I of course
am going to get lots of extra time out today and tomorrow with all the
hoorah in the shelter in the next few days!! We are going to get some
pretty wreaths and greenery for the special event from Aunt Judy. She is
bringing Miss Emma Emily back form her vacation too- but I know she almost
kept her-- she said she is so much fun. Now finally I can take her on a
date behind the toy box and maybe chase her through the tubes. Boy I hope
Santa brings us some new ones-- these are getting a bit ragged -- too many
ferrets running through them!

The folkses here are hoping things will stay quiet enough to partake of
turkey this week -- heck who cares about feathers when we all have such
soft fur?? Hmmmm...

I can't wait though cause the Thanskgiving day is like a pre event to Santa
coming-- shelter Mom takes cheerios, raisins & treats and gives us a
special treat this day, so I guess if they want to favor a bird for one day
that is okay by me! Bear is doing pretty good the past few days, he has
been spending lots of time with the mom & dad and his eye infection is
getting better.

Sterling has a new foster grandma-- now he has 2! The folks are pleased to
think that maybe they will be able to give him some more care other than
his shot with the new sponsors!..... That poor kid hasn't really been
the best in all the time he has been here-- now they think he is getting
adrenal cause he smells burnt. But he is looking the best as far as weight
goes since he arrived. He actually has some hair finally growing in on his
tummy from the surgery he had in August! He still won't play with us other
ferrets though. I don't think he even knows he is a ferret-- we need to
have a chat!

Casper had the wick removed from the infection he had lanced last week--
and mom is really happy that so far he has no new lumps on his face!
Geesh-- I could chase him around and give him a lump or two! :)

Mom is looking for some washable rugs to keep the tile floor cozy for the
winter-- it sure has gotten cold here lately. I swear I saw some
snowflakes out the window the other afternoon!

In the winter times Bear told me we gets tubs of snow to play with in the
shelter rooms -- that sounds like fun-- specially if we can run and dive
into a pile of blankies to get warm afterwards!

For those of you ferrets that need warm sleepies for this winter-- have
your Moms & friends check out some of the new sack & hammies on ebay. The
folkses here is puttin lots up on the auction in case the holiday shopping
is not done yet.

some new BIG Sacks are back on the auction too in case you don't need
hammies.

I hope you will all come tell me I am beautiful at the open house.
Remember it is Saturday Dec 9 11AM- 2 PM, refreshments will be served in
Ferret Lodge next door from 11AM-3PM and lots of raffles will be drawn. If
you want directions just email mom-- she does pretty good at them, if you
want to brig snacks for humans or ferrets -- don't be shy!. Come and visit
and remember sneak me some fudge & cookies too! I don't have a weight
problem-- yet! :)
