I cannot tell for sure by your description.  But I have seen a purple-ish
bruise appear on ferret bellies before.  It is about the size of a dime or
smaller and comes and goes.  My vet tells me this is a type of hernia.  Not
to be alarmed in our case I guess.  Your case might be different.  Sometimes
it is downright blue looking and sometimes a tinge of green.  Mainly it
looks like a small bruise.  I have never seen a scab associated with it
though.
