I posted a few days ago about my concern over Dinky's bald spot and whether
she might have adrenal problems. Thanks to everyone who replied.

I made an appt. for Dinky for Thursday. Wednesday night she woke me up at
11:00PM screaming. I went to her cage and she had urinated on the place mat
underneath her sleepy canoe. She has never done this before. I cleaned her
and her cage up and held her and kissed her for awhile before putting her
back to bed. I was so glad she was going to the vet the next day.

Thursday
Dinky DOES NOT have adrenal problems. Yeah! My vet said the bald spot was
most likely caused by stress from being stuck in the dishwasher the other
day. No the dishwasher was not on, she got stuck in the rack as I was
loading it. Now I know why she got stuck. Dinky weighs in at 2 lbs. 15
ounces. She's just a big girl and didn't realize she could no longer get
thru the rack. Needless to say she is not allowed to play in the dishwasher
anymore. The scream last night was attributed to night mares. She always
talks in her sleep, I guess this one just scared the pee out of her.

He cleaned her ears and found 1 ear mite (hmm..1?). He said most likely
there are more, but that's all that showed up on the micrscope. He even let
me see it. So he gave her some ear drops. She also received her distemper
and rabies boosters. They also took her temperature and took a stool
sample. No problems there. Yeah again!

She does have one broken tooth, so I will be making a dental appt. for her
to get that pulled before it causes any problems. He also gave me heart
worm medicine as a preventative measure since I take her outside for walks.

So, except for the tooth and the ear mites which have now been treated
Dinky is a healthy BIG girl.

Ferret hugs & kisses,
Toni
Dinky(I'm so happy!)
