The other day I was in my pet store and they had just taken in a 1 1/2-2
year old little girl on consignment.  She is a darling little thing-but
she is scared to death!  She appears healthy-from as much as a visual
inspection can tell, but don't think she has has alot of attention!  Her
nails were very long and the owner of the store let me trim them up.  She
shook so badly the whole time.  I tried to give her some ferretvite-but I
honestly believe she didn't know what it was!  I put some on her nose 3
times before she finally decided it was pretty good.  I held her for about
a half hour before she finally calmed down.  I was back in the store today
and was told that she is eating very little.  I held her again and she
shakes-I mean really shakes!  She is really having a hard time!  I can't
stop thinking about her so I thought I would post this message in hopes
that maybe someone in the area might be interested.  I would take her if I
could, but I just can't do it!  I have thought about getting a third one,
but now is not a good time!  They are asking $200.00 for her and the 4
story cage on rollers with the bubble tube.  It's a real nice cage.  I
thought about offering $150.00 just to see how anxious the owner of the
ferret is to get rid of her, but I didn't.  Like I said-the pet store is
selling her on consignment.  If anyone out there has a big heart and an
empty corner in their house-please go in and check her out!  She is so
scared and needs to be in a safe, warm home!  I did get her to eat a little
out of my hand.  They are feeding her TF and I am not sure what the owner
were feeding her before-maybe she isn't eating because of a change in food.
I did buy a can of treats and she ate some of that-but shook the whole
time!  Someone please go in and check this baby out and see if there is a
place for her in your home!  She is in the Pet-Rite pet store located in
the Delaware Plaza(the big Wal-mart) on Rt. 23 right before you get into
Delaware(OHIO).  If someone goes-will you please keep me posted!  I will
go in and check on her again tomorrow!
