I was over at Dr. Ward's office with Gabby this morning for a check-up and
shots. They have in their kennel four spayed female ferrets for adoption.
There is a fifth one who is to be spayed tomorrow and she'll be ready for
adoption in about a week and a half. They are adorable!! They are all dark
sables (really dark) and are small - probably 1.5 lb. They were all
standing up at the cage door begging to be let out. I held one and she was
wonderful, didn't even THINK about biting. The tech said you should see
them when they let them out - a room full of bouncing ferrets! Dr. Ward
said they are 3-4 years old and were being used for breeding purposes. They
are healthy, no sign of disease, but could probably use a distemper booster.
ANYWAY, if anyone is looking for a ferret to adopt, you might want to
consider giving the Animal Hospital of Carrboro a call at (919)967-9261. I
told him I was going to send this post. I wish I could take another ferret.
I would liked to have loaded them all up and brought them home!

Thanks,
Ande King
