thanx, Wolfy, for the description of the unbelievable auction of my
painting (and it went for $1650, not $1600, plus Renee paid us, not
canadian!). I know Renee won't ask, but anyone who wants to contribute
towards this gift for a very special Sharon can contact Renee at
<[log in to unmask]>. here's an old photo of it for those who are curious

this painting was not part of the IFC art show and auction. it was an
after thought.. I remembered thinking after Travis Livieri's black
footed ferret talk I have this in a basement somewhere, so I asked Travis
if he wanted it, and my friend and my brother went to pick it up. I was
hoping it would go for maybe 200! Travis was almost too "shy" to conduct
a live auction. I'm also really happy that at least one of my paintings
sell for more than a pair of knickers, even if they belong to a well
known personage ;). all of the money went to www.prairiewildlife.org,
the organization Travis works for.

btw, I don't remember what I said at all during the auction... if you've
got me promising a better painting of baby black footed ferrets on tape..
I want that tape NOW!

I will post pictures of the other rtwork after I get organized, hopefully
in a day or two. I will also post about my ifc experience, and the bbf
behind the scenes. I am still very hyped about all that happened at the
conference. definitely the best one yet!

Happy Canada's Day!

ps. look for a baby black footed ferrets painting at the next
symposium..
