I also like to give them a bath using a gentle flea shampoo to kill any
mites that may be outside the ears.  I like all natural Flea-flea.
 
My vet suggested the formula of 1 part Ivermectin to 9 parts of a light oil
(like Safflower).  I keep all my oil mixtures in the refrigerator.  You can
warm slightly before use.  Put a couple drops directly in ears twice weekly
until the mites are gone.  I have found this to work better than injectable
Ivermectin.
