I run a shelter in Cleve, Ohio Babe came in the shelter in Jan.  2.25 lbs.
she is now 17.5 OZ.
 
Her stool test is normal, her blood is normal, her x-ray is normal, every
thing that can be poked, prodded, and samples taken of with out cutting her
open is normal.
 
She eats, plays, all normal.  In fact - she is "ferret" personified -
curious, gets in to trouble with out mean to, and sweet.  Potty habits are
99.9% perfect.
 
Any suggestions?  She does not like pred, she holds it in her mouth and then
turns and spits it back into my face.
