Ferrets and collars are pretty much a losing battle IMHO, but ferrets and
harnesses (worn only when outside the cage) - there is something that works.
 
Ironically, my friend from Germany is a leather worker and just sent me
several leather harnesses with bells attached.  They are all handmade, and
look as if they will fit females and small males.  Some are natural in color
and others have color added.  They are indestructable - I have two from her
that I got 4 years ago...
 
If anyone is interested, she has asked me to sell them for her.  E-mail for
