I laughed and laughed at the posts about embarrassing moments!
Fortunately, my ferrets would NEVER embarrass me (lol)!

Here is a good one:
A couple from my hubby's work came over for dinner and I was showing them
the kids. Cleo was all over the woman and kept trying to get into her
shirt. Finally, she managed and Cleo somehow broke her bra strap. I was
trying so hard not to laugh but we all were standing there and actually
heard the snap. She was very nice about it though, so no harm done. At
least Cleo is not a biter - now that would have been awful! In addition
to this incident, I have had my ferrets drag dirty laundry out in front of
guests. Nothing specific, mainly socks but on occasion they will drag out
unmentionables. THAT is embarrassing.

As far as showering with ferrets, mine love it and I have found that they
do not squirm as much as if you are holding them in a tub or sink. I
*think* they feel more secure? They sure get clean. One of mine likes to
dunk his head in the spray. The only problem I have encountered is that
after I let them out into the towel pile, to pick up the next "victim", the
one I just put down tries to get back in! This is the quickest and easiest
way to bathe ferrets that I have encountered.

Oh, on corn cob - DON'T use it! If ferrets ingest it, it can wreak havoc
on their digestive tract. It works great for birds, but is not for
ferrets. I recommend switching to a paper litter such as Crown Animal
Bedding. Plus, when we had a bird, that corn cob made the house stink!
It starts to decompose pretty quick and really smelled bad.

Thank you to all who offered scanning services. I am taking pics this
weekend and Erin Larson has offered to scan them for me and put them on her
site. Once this is done, I will send you all the link to see the cage that
I am so proud of. Lynn Siegel sent me a picture of Sammy, that was very
adorable - thanks!

Whole lotta dooks!
