It's been done!  A manufacurer here in Perth has had ferret food on the
market for a while.  It was in a meal for that we found too expensive to
start with, but now it is available in a kibbled form that is cheaper that
IAMS or Whiskas Professional Formula.  If another manufacturer was to make a
food too - great!  Competition!
