Well' it's happened,I am now owned by a beautiful 3.5 month old female
fuzzie.  I thought I was going to have to wait but yesterday a friend called
me and told me about an ad in the community classifieds for a ferret.I
called and the guy told me he bought it for his son who quickly lost
interest in it after a couple weeks.She is also a nipper,which didn't help
much.So I went to take a look at her and it was love at first sight!!  I
checked her over and she seemed healthy and all,but she is a nipper!  I
asked about vet visits and shots and the guy looked at me and said,"What
shots?" So when we got home I called the pet store they got him from and
they said that their ferrets come from Marshall Farms and have been
neutered/spayed,descented and had their first distemper shots.So it's off to
the vets next week to get this beautiful little girl up to date on her shots
and have the vet give her the once over.
 
She is settling in nicely,after a trip to Petland to get her all the
neccissary goodies.My roommate fell in love with her also and even bought
the cage for her!  He has been spoiling her as much if not more than me!
And he never really was interested in the idea of me getting one.She stole
his heart,and mine also.We named her Jewel because she's so precious.She is
already trying to steal things.I can out of the bedroom and she was in the
process of dragging the remote controll across the floor.She saw me and gave
me this look like,"Oh,this thing?  I was just putting it away for you,cuz I
know how much you hate it when you can't find it!" Then she started her
little war dance and darted under the coffee table.She's cracking me up
already!After a good two hours of playing she fell asleep on my lap.  So
cute!!!!!
 
I do have a couple of questines though.She has never really been litter
trained.  I put a couple of her dropping in her litter box and then put her
in it.She sniffed it and jumped out and started to poop in the opposite
corner.I stopped her and put her back in the box and she pooped in there
instead.But that is the only tme she has used it.For a potty,that is,she
likes to use it for a bed instead!  I try to catch her when I think she is
about to go and put her in the box but she just looks at me.I even tried
moving the box in the corner she likes to use but that doesn't work
either.Any suggestines?  Second questine,she has been sneezing a bit,mostly
when she wakes up.They're kind of wet little sneezes.I know they can catch
cold and was just wondering if I should be concerned.
 
I apologise for the long post,just had to rant about my new baby for a bit!!
