I can't help you with that question, but I would advise you not to feed
L'Avian. There are better quality foods available (including Zupreem).
I feed Totally Ferret, and the other high quality foods that I know about
are Zupreem, 8-in-1 Ultimate (NOT Ultra), Zupreem and Marshalls (if you
don't mind a fishy odor).

I like Modern Ferret (the magazine) which is published by ferret people,
but their publishing schedule has been sporadic (to say the least)
recently. I haven't looked at Ferrets magazine recently but judging by
some of the people who are contributing articles it's probably a good bet
also. The best all around book for ferret care is "Ferrets for Dummies"
by Kim Schilling (another FML person). I also like "The Ferret: Your
Guide to a Happy, Healthy Pet" by Mary Shefferman and "A Practical Guide
to Ferret Care" by Deborah Jeans (unfortunately out of print). I'm sure
other people will have other suggestions.

Happy ferreting!
