Blindness In Ferret Web sites

Would like to find a few blindness information ferret web sites.  We have
a four+ year old ferret who may be partially blind.  The vet suggested we
throw cotton balls in front of the ferret and see if the ferret goes to the
cotton balls.  The other suggestion was to use a flash light in their eyes
and see what happens.  The vet said there was no test to see how partially
blind a ferret might be.  Just would like to be prepared encase the one
ferret is partially blind.
