Dear Ferret Folks-

What were the odds? Today my husband and I went to the Home Depot store
to look at linoleum. We had made the Big Decision. The ferret room was
going professional, no more carpeting, no more digging, snorkeling under
the carpeting, pooping on the carpeting, you get the idea. ENOUGH of
that. We decided to build ourselves a rubber room. I always knew I'd
wind up there, some day anyway.

We went to the linoleum aisle and a friendly associate in an orange apron
with his name on the pocket came right over to assist us. We explained
our problem, a bit hesitantly. Much to our surprise, he knew exactly
what we were up against. We only have two ferrets. He had FOUR. He was
a weasel-certified home design specialist! Exactly what we needed! He
had many helpful suggestions for us.

As I write this, the carpet has been discarded and consigned to a toxic
waste dump, far away and down wind. The linoleum and mop-board edging
have been installed by my excellent husband and a friend of ours. My
husband is currently caulking the edge of the mop-board edging where it
meets the linoleum.

We have lots of extra linoleum, our Home Depot associate threw in the
last couple of feet on the roll for cage-liners. Now THAT'S service!
Hats off to Home Depot! Can't wait to introduce Switch and Sabrina to
the Rubber Room. (Go ahead girls, &%$# in THESE corners, I dare you!
Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!)

Switch the Kit: "Aunt Sabrina, I don't like the sound of that laugh.."
Sabrina: "Do you smell vinyl, child?"
