I've had my little Betsy for about 5 months now. She loves to go look out
the window, however I think she would do just fine with out it for a while.
When I took betsy home to my parents house thier cat was so interested in
Betsy. He would sit by the door and wait for me to come home to let him in
and play with betsy. I think cat's and ferrets can get along just fine as
long as you introduce them to each other slowly, in short sessions, and
always watch them. The cat will probably be a little warry at first but
they'll learn to trust each other. You'll know if the ferret has had enough
of the cat if they start hissing or jumping at they cat. I think if you get
a young ferret and start introducing them to each other straight from the
start you wont have any problems at all. I've heard people who have cat's
and ferrets that are best of friends. I wouldn't worry to much.

                                Good Luck,
                                        Kim and Betsy
