To everyone,
Between the Ferret Giving Tree, and in responding to some posts on
the FML, I have found that when I send out emails to people, I get no
return response, and sometimes these people state to others that they
are not hearing from me, or never heard from me.
Something I have found on a personal level, as well as owning a
business that is internet based. PLEASE ALWAYS just check in your Spam
folder. You do not have to actually open things in your spam folder,
just look in it and glance over the contents each day, then if nothing
of importance, you can just delete. Email programs are far from
perfect, they do often times throw the wrong things into Spam. Also,
if you do not have everyone's email address in your contact list,
your email program will often times throw it into Spam.
Another huge mistake that people make is that they have their Spam
settings so high that they have their program deleting what it thinks
is spam, immediately. Again, this is not a good practice, as if your
program throws the wrong thing into Spam, you will never see it if
it is immediately deleted. Have someone assist you with your email
settings if you do not understand them.
This info will assist you with many issues of miscommunication that
occur via email in life. ALSO, for those on Facebook, Yes, YOU DO have
a Spam folder on there as well. Go into your private messages area on
FB, when you go in there, you are in your regular Inbox. Look up into
the upper Left hand area of your screen, YOU WILL see a "grayed-out"
word that says "Other", if you click on the word Other, you will go
into a type of Spam folder that FB created. Bet you have a bunch of
private messages there that you didn't know you had :)
