WOW!  What a week!  The power outage really messed everything up lol!
The shelter lost power for almost 2 days and has lots of spoiled foods
and drinks.  mommie kept the kids cool during the heat wave by spritzing
them with warm water and taking them outside to get a cool breeze.  I
hope other shelters and friends were safe during the blackout!
 
The shelter took in 2 new kids this week.  Sky & Spirit were abandon in
a cardboard box outside the London H.S.  They are only about 3 months
old and will be needing to grow a bit before they will be able to be
spayed/neutered.  Both kids are albino and mommie is kissing the crap
outta them!  Poor kids lol!
 
Boddington was in the hospital almost all week long.  On Monday night,
mommie noticed he was looking "funny" in his cage.  She took him out for
a cuddle and saw he was quite weak.  She put him on the floor and he was
unable to walk.  He went straight to the vet and more abscess-like bumps
were found at the base of his skull.  We're still not sure what's going
on with him and are waiting for histopathology to come back with some
news.  He's walking better now that he's back on antibiotics but is still
not out of the danger zone.
 
mommie is beginning to clear out grandma's room in hopes the building can
start on the labor day weekend(Aug 29, 30 & 31).  if anyone is free to
help that weekend, PLEASE let my mommie know.  We're still looking for
donations of drywall, Plexiglas, wood, a toilet and volunteers of time.
