Morning to all.

A big thank you to so many kind people for your thought on how to get
Bongo to feel more comfortable with his hooman. And THANK YOU to the
many who have rescued similar helpless little ones that need our help.
The stories that you shared have been touching and heart warming.

It will take time...or maybe it will not happen that I will ever be
able to hold or pet him without rigidity. But I am trying the
techniques you shared with me.

One HUGE thing...at least for me.

He was by the entryway to his thick, very large, plush heavy duty
sleepy sack while in bed with me and near my face. I kissed him on
his nose. And he actually licked me in return.

He could have bitten me or retreated. So this is a big leap already.
Could be the mittens, or ferretone, or carrying him in my pet carrier
around the house.

AND..this morning, the Persian had pushed open the door to the den
somehow. I called out for Bongo. He was not in the den. Oh dear. He
does not seem to like other ferrets. But he came walking out of the
bedroom up to me!!

Of course, when I picked him up to carry him into the kitchen for his
soup, I had cooties once again.. lol.
