When registrations for domain names expire, the names are often snapped
up by porn sites to increase their traffic. Sometimes the name is snapped
up by speculators who hold it hostage. This is an increasing problem
especially for non-profit organizations. Businesses with trade names can
appeal to have their domain names protected. If there is no trademark
involved, buying back the name can be expensive, if it can be retrieved
at all.

This is not ferret related, but it is a warning to those with ferret
related sites under registered names to be sure to not let their
registration lapse!
