Bonjour!
        I don't remember who said that he or she bitted back her/his ferret...
Anyway... When each of my ferrets first arrived home, they all tried to
bite me once but once only (nipping thoes under sheets not included ;)
First time Victor tried to do it, I bitted him back... He was so
surprised (nor that I was...I should have ferrets as ancestors!!!) and he
began to lick me... Since then I'm the Alpha ferret... I did the same
with Hugo and Adele and had almost the same reaction... Surprise,
recognition of my Alpha's status and they never bite me or other human
again...:)))
