I have to admit that I skip Ed Lipinski's posts because they raise my blood
pressure too much! Our vet charges NOTHING! to euthanize an animal. If
you want the animal cremated, there is a small charge for that. I have to
agree that the pellet gun sounds unnecessarily painful.

As far as different kinds of food go, we love Totally Ferret! One of our
old guys (6 1/2) used to have frequent urinary tract infections - no
problem since we switched to Totally Ferret. (We even had him on a special
diet for a while.) Also, I don't know the facts about this, because I'm
not an expert, but I believe that the people who developed Totally Ferret
discovered that ferrets cannot digest corn gluten and so you need to look
at the ingredients list as well as the protein/fat percentages.

As for the Killians faking the photo on their website of that big boy - not
necessary! I've met a couple of their hobs and they really are that big!
I really wanted to take one home he was so sweet. I've met some ferrets
who were not trustworthy with children and some children who were not
trustworthy with ferrets. Personally, I think the ferret has more excuse
than the kids!

Time to go play with the resident ferrets and clean cages - a shelter's
work is never done!
