OK, I need some creative ideas here -

I would like to restrict our ferrets play area so that it ends at the
beginning of the kitchen, where there is no door frame to slide in a piece
of board or something (no, that would be too easy)

Has anyone had any luck, short of nailing wood strips to the wall, with any
sort of easy-up-and-down barrier (for especially climby ferrets?). I've
been trying to figure out how to use a shower curtain tension rod, for
example, but haven't come up yet with a good thing to drape over it that
they can't climb.

Does anyone have any ideas? The opening is approximately 4 feet wide.
Thanks for anything you can share that you've tried!

Em
