Hi my name is Theresa and I found this to be a problem as well after I had
purchased my hammock for my three ferrets.  The thing was so ity-bity that
even one would have a hard time sleeping in it.  I decided to make my own
out of a hand towel and tied thick shoe laces to the corners and then to the
cage.  It works great and is washable.  I am thinking about making them
another one too.  They all like to sleep together and they all manage to
crawl in and snuggle up.  Hope this helps!!!
