No, not from what an assortment of people here have written.  Yes, in the
past some have handled this sort of problem with returns (some of which I
know wound up at ferret shelters); others got Marshall products (litter
pots, bedding, etc.) as an apology to offset the problem the encountered.
I doubt any shipping back is involved, given the extra cost that would
incur.  Please, read past posts in the archives to see this option and
read who has used it.  That's the best way to find a thorough run-down of
what others have encountered.  I do expect that some stores have gotten a
refund from MF and then the stores have destroyed ferrets, but some send
them on to shelters.
