I want to Thank all of you in the ferret community that have made
donations to help save a cat's life. He made it through the surgery
fine and is coming home tomorrow. When I called at 8:30 this morning
and found out that the bill had been paid in full I burst in tears. I
hardly slept last night worrying about the cat and how in the world
I was going to pay the vet bill, but because of all you caring and
wonderful people here on the FML that burden has been lifted, now I
can focus on the cat's recovery. I have to tell you that it was you
the FML Family that answered my plea, you ferret people who I know
love all animals, but you are ferret people,that were there when an
animal needed help and yes, I too needed help. Of all the cat/dog
rescues I called, none helped, yes, they told me to call this one and
that, but all they could say was that they were sorry they couldn't do
more. The lady at the vet said she was floored to see so many donations
from the FML community, she said she was still getting calls from
people wanting to donate from all over the state at closing. I still
can't get over all the caring generous people here on the FML. I did
get donations from 2 people from the posting I made on Craigs List, but
it was the FML Family that made this happen. I also want to Thank Vicki
Montgomery for helping me with her posting on Face Book, she has been a
good friend and helped me with my ferrets many times. She was the first
rescue I contacted when I had a question about ferret care 5 yrs ago. I
remember her telling me I could post questions on the FML, I had never
heard of it and she told me that is was a great community of ferret
lovers from all over and I could get advice and meet ferret people,
all I needed to do was join. That was the best thing I could have ever
done, I've learned so much about care, foods and what works best for
ferrets, plus I've met so many great people through this community. You
have laughed and cried with me and helped me when I didn't know where
to turn. Thank-you Vicki for telling me about the FML and everyone who
has touched my life since joining. All of you out there are the most
wonderful caring people in the world and the world is a better place
because you are in it. Thank-you too to those that have e-mailed me
personally to see how they could help. Again Thank-you all so much,
you have made an impact on my life and helped one of Gods Creatures
and I'll never forget my heroes on the FML.
