The offical tally of ferrets kept in CA is around 400,000 , vets here
have to right to treat without reporting, most of the law enforcment
agencies look at ferret keeping in the same way they once looked at pot
in the 60's, "don't show me , I don't care." in other words , they have
much more important things to do than to go around arresting ferret
owners.  It won't be long until the laws are written off the books.  Why
can't he have a ferret unless he showed signs that he would be neglectful
of the ferrets needs?
