Dr. Williams, Dutton or any other vet,
My vet this morning told me he was at a conference last week and spoke with
Dr. Rosenthal and others. He says the general consensus on removing both
adrenal glands is that things have probably already spread to the liver and
other vital organs. Therefore, it might not really be worth it to put Idgie
through a second surgery to remove at least part of the right.

===> Do you agree with the statment that things probably have already
spread? He also talked about having a pretty good result by medically
treating with Ketachinozol (sp?). Apprently 'blocks' all four adrenal
hormones? What do you think are the tradeoffs of trying this medical
therapy without another surgery? My concern is why put her through another
surgery if I will have to treat her anyway with this stuff because it has
spread. He did mention the Lysodren if the adrenal panel showed high
cortisone levels rather than estrogen levels.

He could not feel anything englarged, her color was good, and heart sounded
fine. We are going to do a full blood workup and the Tenn adrenal panel
today. We'll have blood results next week and the adrenal panel back around
first of april.

I highly appreciate any information or opinions you can give me.

Lindy
