Got a call this morning from a shelter who's in the Austin area.  Rick &
Candi White gave her my number.  She told me she recently had a number of
ferrets "unloaded" on her, and a neighbor complained.... upshot is she has
one week to place out most of the ferrets in residence or zoning/animal
control will pick them up.  She's been sheltering in that same location
for some years, and never had a problem with zoning or any neighbor in
the past.
 
If you're anywhere in her area, or know anyone who can take in even one
or two ferrets, please contact her.  I don't have an email address for
her on hand, so either contact the Whites ([log in to unmask]) or ask BIG
to forward your addy to me and I'll email you her phone number.  She has
approx. 2 dozen that haven't been placed already.
 
No, she hasn't tested for ADV yet, but since she works for a vet it can
probably be arranged.
