By far the best price we've found so far for the Midwest Ferret Playpen
is from "Dog Outfitters".  They sell dog and cat stuff mostly but have a
growing ferret section (and sections for other less common pets)  They
want $114.99 in their 1995 buyers guide catalog.
 
The Midwest cage is a four foot high by three foot long by two foot deep
cage with a plastic base on wheels.  Two plastic shelves and two mesh
ramps.  Definitely add hammocks to use the vertical space effectively.
 
Midwest seels two heights of their cat playpen - two foot and four foot.
The four foot is identical to the Ferret playpen except its missing the ramp
ladders.  We use the two foot high cages very successfully with ferrets.
The Dog Outfitter prices were 79.89 and 99.79.  Those are expensive ramps.
They do sell the Cat Condo with the wooden base and all as well.
 
They also sell stuff that is important to find like gallon size linatone.
Thats important in the ferret mind anyway.
 
You can get Nutri-Cal, Nutri-Stat (two different prices for two things from
the same manufacturer that are guaranteed to be identical in formulation -
weird huh?) PPP ferret shampoo (the choice of my teenagers that do much of
our ferret grooming), 8in1 and PPP products.  Some cat and dog stuff that
ferrets would love.
