Hello everyone! I am new to this list but you will probably hear a lot
from me in the months to follow! Sounds like a lot of you know each
other, I would like to get to know all of you as well!

My name is Nicole, I am fortunate enough to own 3 awesome ferrets, ages
5,4, & 2. I had a HE** of a time finding an apartment in Minneapolis (MN)
that will allow ferrets. (They are still "illegal" here, for unknown
reasons) I found a place 2 years ago, with MUCH hesitation and a $900
deposit (ouch, i work for non-profit!). I am going to be moving in with
my boyfriend into a 2 bdrm duplex in march, and we "thought" we had a
place all lined up with a landlord that was cool with the ferrets, but
now we hear the landlord (who has a cat) changed his mind and doesn't
want the new tenants to have ANY pets. I am so tired of trying to find
landlords that will accept ferrets, especially because ferrets are still
considered "illegal" in Minneapolis. I don't want to give up my ferrets
AT ALL, but I am finding it so hard to convince future landlords that
ferrets are NOT wild animals and are not destructive pets......does anyone
have any personal advice or information on ferrets that I can provide to
my prospective landlords?? or do i have to consider giving them up!?
