My son reads Ranger Rick Magazine, (a childrens magazine published by
National Wildlife Federation), and I was leafing through the August 1998
issue.  In the back of the magazine is a five page spread about black footed
ferrets.  Although it is written on a very simplistic level, it is well
written and quite accurate.  I don't think that Ranger Rick is available on
newsstands, however many public libraries subscribe to it if you want to
read it.
