Thank you to those who wrote so kindly to me. Sites given to me to pass
on to you:

Look at the bottom of this page for the ferret stuff. Domestic ferrets
became wild in NZ, and did start off as tame. So letters cannot be
written about how tame ferrets cannot become wild in New Zealand.

No ferrets are going to be confiscated or killed, the article says. That
was my immediate big fear. But read on. Time to react with knowledge is
limited.

Always the computer dummy-I went to Askjeeves.com and asked where the
archives to the ferret mailing list were, and found the answer toward the
bottom of the page, clicked on it, and put in the dates. I also read
March 10th explaining why Bob Church does not feel California ferrets
could survive and flourish as feral.

I only passed on info given me by others probably afraid of ugly dreadful
e-mails. I did not write any of the articles. And I look forward to
reading myself all other articles pointed out, or points made.

We cannot write letters making us look stupid. They will be discarded.
If anyone has a good solid letter to present to us as to why ferrets are
causing no damage in New Zealand and should not be banned-NOW is the time
to show it.

Bob Church in March 15th 1998 wrote that ferrets in New Zealand have no
predators and have plenty to eat, and feels this is the reason why they
are able to become wild. Present disagreements immediately please. Time
for decisions to be made is critical.

Why will the delicate ecosystem in New Zealand not be damaged by a
percentage of domesticated ferrets that get lose? This is what really
needs to be in our letters.

Please respond to the FML. The answer cannot wait.
